So i have now completed photo shopping all my drawings after literally learning how to use this program in a bout 2 weeks. I didnt want to use much colour in my drawings so i stuck to a grey scale theme. with only one colour used on each illustration. My initial idea was to go for sin city style illustrations with the only colour besides black white and grey being red, but after trying that i found that the use of shadow was vital to making it actually look semi professional. Being as i have only just grasped the ability of very basic Photoshop i decided against this idea so my illustrations would still stand a chance of looking good. If i had more time this is something i would definitely have explored further . All in all i think my illustrations have turned out pretty good in the time i had.
I was invited to contribute to the Comics vs. Games 3D show taking place at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival this year!! This show wanted EVERYTHING 3D including our illustrations! I thought it’d be fun to do revamped Chun-Li from Street Fighter slow mo kickin’ right off the page!!!
If you have a pair of classic red/blue 3D glasses check it out! For those of you without, please enjoy the one below. :) The show gunna have all kinds of goodies, if you’re going to TCAF don’t miss this event!! You can RSVP here!
My original list of font ideas. I tried to find fonts most suited to a fantasy or fiction spiritual book.
These were the favourites out of all the fonts i chose. I did the front cover in each of the fonts so i can get a final decision on which one people think looks the best. After doing my research i found that the top two were the most favourited but the first one was voted the best and therefore is the cover i am going to go with..
So this is the final mask colour i decided to go with. i think it suits her face quite well and the color of her skin and hair don’t blend in with it, yet it doesn’t stand out so much as to look silly and take away from her facial features.
So i wasn’t feeling the white mask, as i thought it looked to bland and plain like it was missing something so i decided to experiment with the colours. As you can see above, i tried Claret, black and red. i liked the black one but then it all seemed too dark. The claret just seemed to blend in too much with her skin so then i tried red, which just looked horrible and far too bright. I also experimented with brighter colors such as green and yellow but those looked even worse. Then i decided to try a few shades of purple until finally deciding on a semi bright, yet deep purple.
